This man tried to revive dead opossum

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (AP) - Police say they charged a Pennsylvania man with public drunkenness after he was seen trying to resuscitate a long-dead opossum along a highway. State police Trooper Jamie Levier says several witnesses saw 55-year-old Donald Wolfe, of Brookville, near the animal Thursday along Route 36 in Oliver Township, about 65 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
The trooper says one person saw Wolfe kneeling before the animal and gesturing as though he were conducting a seance. He says another saw Wolfe attempting to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Levier says the animal already had been dead a while.
The Associated Press could not locate a home telephone number for Wolfe.

this is one drunk tale the cop wont forget. but really people?

If it were me (not that i would try to save a dead thing. Im saying if i was that drunk) i would have some kind of contact Id if i were found somewhere. ha-ha

phone companies are greedy and bored

We have just learned from Engadget that AT&T are suing Verizon over its “There’s a map for that” ads, which they claim is false advertising. AT&T is asking for the ads to be stopped as they feel that the ads can mislead their users to think that they do not offer any wireless service in the U.S.
AT&T state that their network covers the same amount of people that Verizon does, so they are confused why Verizon would make such claims. Engadget have been updating the news as it comes in, they have now learned that the lawsuit is very narrow.
Engadget know that Verizon are trying to convince viewers into thinking that AT&T customers are unable to use the service outside of the 3G coverage areas on the map that they have created. The map was split into red and blue, the former represents Verizon while the latter represents AT&T.
The maps are misleading as Verizon’s entire network is 3G, which is why it shows so many service gaps when it comes to AT&T’s map. They fail to say that the service gaps on AT&T may well be covered by its 2G network.

PT
Apperently at&t has nothign better to do than to sue another company fro promoting them selfs. well we all know that verizon isn't the best service out there and everyone is going to at&t because they want the Iphone or another network for better service.
Well guess what that will be no more follow this link and see what great news verizon has to share with us!

Wait she wants to weigh how much? 1000 pounds!!! oh well as long as she does it in a healthy way i guess its ok..... right?

Meet Donna Simpson. She's going to cost you. A lot.
Simpson, of Old Bridge, N.J., is 42 years old, has two kids and a boyfriend, and she weighs 602 pounds. That's right ... 602 pounds.
She's on a diet, of course, because she has a goal in mind:
She wants to weigh 1,000 pounds.
That's right ... 1,000 pounds. It's a nice, extra-round figure — almost as big as what her unhealthy choices will ultimately cost taxpayers.
Simpson claims she is normal and healthy, and she has a right to eat what she wants and weigh what she wants.
“I love eating and people love watching me eat,” she says. “It makes people happy, and I’m not harming anyone.”
But she needs to use a motor scooter when she goes grocery shopping, because she can't walk more than 20 feet. The human body, after all, is not designed to scarf down 12,000 calories a day in the quest to weigh half a ton.
Simpson is definitely harming someone — herself, says Dr. Carla Wolper, a registered dietitian and research faculty member at the New York Obesity Research Center at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York.
And you, the taxpayer, could wind up paying for it.
“We don’t know her medical history, but one of the most dangerous health issues she faces is an increased risk of sudden death from having a heart attack due to electrical problems in the heart,” Wolper said.
Other possible causes of death for Simpson include stroke, immobility, breathing problems, congestive heart failure, diabetes, and inflammation of heart tissue. Each year, nearly 300,000 Americans die from heart failure. Simpson, experts say, is putting herself at risk for all these medical conditions, and those conditions have a hefty pricetag.
“The baseline cost for someone like to go to the emergency room is $993 for one visit,” Daniel Emmer, public relations manager of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, the largest health insurance provider in New Jersey, told FOXNews.com.
Simpson’s main source of income to support herself financially is by appearing on a Web site where men pay to watch videos of her gorging on food and showing off her hundreds of pounds of extra bulge in a bikini.
(um does that sound gross to anyone else?)
But it's anyone's guess whether her revenue from Web videos will cover the cost of her inevitable health risks.
“Someone with diabetes costs $11,744 more per year to provide health care, which is twice as much as the average person,” Emmer said.
It is unclear what type of insurance Simpson has, if any. But there is no question that whatever her health care position is, it could come at a high cost.
“Obesity causes a minimum $1,429 increase, or 42 percent in medical costs,” Emmer said. “Research shows lifestyle choices and behaviors drive 87.5 percent of the cost for health care claims.”
“When people are very, very overweight, they are at an increased risk for a condition called prolonged QT syndrome,” Wolper told FoxNews.com.
Prolonged QT syndrome is a heart rhythm disorder that can potentially cause fast, chaotic heartbeats, the Mayo Clinic says on its Web site. In some cases, the heart may beat erratically for so long that it can cause sudden death.
"Another problem this woman faces is related to the circulatory system,” Wolper said. “When people are that big, circulation is often impaired in the legs. This can cause blood to pool in the legs leading to formation of blood clots. This leaves morbidly obese people at an increased risk for a pulmonary embolism.”
A pulmonary embolism occurs when one or more arteries in the lungs become blocked. In most cases, pulmonary embolism is caused by blood clots that travel to your lungs from another part of your body — most commonly, your legs, according to the Mayo Clinic. One of the major risk factors is excess weight, which increases the risk of blood clots, especially in women who smoke or have high blood pressure.
“The work of the heart is tremendously increased when someone is that big because there’s so much more blood in the body,” Wolper said. “When this happens, the heart has to pump against the pressure of all that fat that is pressing against the blood vessels, and as a result the heart enlarges, and not in a good way.”
As Simpson’s appetite increases, so will the cost of health care for the severe medical conditions that she is likely to have — conditions that are preventable by healthier lifestyle choices. Whereas her $750-a-week grocery bill is merely gastronomical, her hospital bills will be astronomical — and the taxpayers of New Jersey may well have to pay her tab.
Meanwhile, in her effort to boldly go where no woman has gone before, Simpson says she tries to stay sedentary, so she burns as few calories as necessary.
She consumes five times more than the recommended daily calories for a woman her age.
“My favorite food is sushi. But unlike others I can sit and eat 70 big pieces of sushi in one go,” she told the Daily Mail.
“I do love cakes and sweet things, doughnuts are my favorite.”
The current record for fattest woman is held by a woman also from New Jersey, who weighed an unbelievable 1,800 pounds when she died in 2008. She was 49 years old.
(That is just sad. a woman dies at 49, thats a young age, from being over weight. i think 200 is too much as is.)
Simpson is proud of the Guinness World Record she holds now for the world’s fattest mother, and her boyfriend is proud of her too.
Philippe, 49, supports her thousand-pound goal, even if that is nearly seven times his own weight of 150 pounds.
“I think he’d like it if I was bigger,” Simpson said. “He’s a real belly man, and completely supports me.”
Someday, the experts say, we all may support her.

PIckles Thoughts- (btw if in the articles you see bold green text that is me :) )
Ok now the woman claims she is going to dot his the healthy way. And she thinks the bigger she is the more attractive she is. um not to be mean but did this woman fall and hit her head? Women these days are doing anything to be like a size 0 and this woman is doing all she can to be a size 54 (if that even exists) i dont know about bout yal but this is gross and the web thing needs to stop. i understand the whole its her life and she is happy and blah blah. Is she thinking about her kids? How are they gonna feel when they lose their mom because she wanted to be fatter. To make things worse there are so many risks to what she is doing and she already has diabetes.
I wanna hear your opinions on this woman. am I the only one who thinks this is gross?

NJ Police Dog Escapes During Weekend Storms

Authorities in Atlantic County are searching for a police dog who escaped during Saturday's wild weather.

The Atlantic County Sheriff's Office said a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois named Dillinger escaped from his outdoor kennel in Egg Harbor Township over the weekend.

The dog's handler, Sherrif's Officer Ron DeMoulin, discovered an empty cage while going to check on the dog at about 7 a.m. Saturday.

Police believe Dillinger scaled a five-foot tall fence and squeezed through a six-inch gap. He was last spotted on the shoulder of the Atlantic City Expressway.

If you spot the police dog, do not attempt to secure him and instead contact police at 609-909-7200.

fast food meal paid with pot????

VERO BEACH, Fla. – A McDonald’s cashier called 911 after a Vero Beach drive-thru customer allegedly offered to pay for his meal with marijuana. The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said the cashier called Monday with a description of the vehicle the suspect had been riding in.
A deputy spotted the vehicle, found marijuana in the car and arrested its occupant, 27-year-old Shawn Alexander Pannullo.
Pannullo was charged with possession of cannabis and posted $500 bail. It was unclear if he had an attorney.
A Sheriff’s report did not say what the suspect ordered at McDonald’s or if he ultimately purchased the meal using something other than marijuana.

Don’t Steal from the Cops

A man stole a couple of candy bars and a toboggan hat .. from a police station.
Who goes into a police station and tries to take the things that are there? How could he think that this might even remotely be a place where he would not get caught? And as if that isn’t bad enough, the guy also stole two syringes that had already been used. So not only is he trying to take stuff from the cops; he’s taking drug paraphernalia that has probably been used by someone that he shouldn’t be using it after.
The man, a guy named Derek Kidd who lives in Ohio, wasn’t even in any real trouble before the theft occurred. He and his girlfriend had been taken in to the police station on disorderly conduct charges but they had been released. Kidd needed to make a phone call when he was released so the officers allowed him to use a phone in the building. Sometime during the process of using the phone, Kidd decided to pocket the two syringes, two candy bars and a hat. He might have even gotten away with it except that the hat, which he was wearing underneath his own hat, had a police logo on it that wasn’t covered by his own cap. The police patted him down and found the other stuff on him.
Of course, Kidd ended up being booked and could get into some serious trouble. It doesn’t really look good to be stealing something immediately after being released from another charge. And the cops are never too happy when they’re the ones that get stolen from. Dumb!

Laundromat Bust!

"Police said David Cabral, 39, of Taunton wanted to steal money from a coin machine.

So he backed his car right through a Taunton Laundromat Sunday morning.
But Cabral didn’t get away with much because it seems the machine was out-of-order.

Police said a Raynham car wash might have suffered the same fate had a police officer not noticed what he believed to be Cabral’s car, awfully close to a coin machine and told him to leave."

PICKLES THOUGHTS-

Wow what is the world coming to?
I cant tell if this is more funny or stupid. I get that robbing a bank = jail time. but a laundry mat? really? But its funnier if you picture an officer seeing this and telling him to leave. I know if i was the cop id be laughing to hard when the man explained what he was doing.
I wasn't aware that people either wanna be in the news this bad or money was that scarce.
